Handy slide mounts |
By: Tamara Hill |
Location: San Francisco, CA United States |
Comments: The thin mounts make it possible to rescue old frayed paper mounts, or to mask and remount slides. They fit into any slide tray, but the only drawback is that they sometimes don't snap together tightly, or come apart. |

Delighted |

Comments: I searched everywhere for a digitalizing service to covert my glass and metal 35 mm slides to a DVD. Nowhere would anyone do this, except at a hefty charge, per slide. (Nor do very many mechanical personal viewers accept such a thick slide). After researching the subject, mounting in the thinner plastic was the answer. The mounting tool was provided in this product, and I felt confident in handling my slides. |

Slide mounts |
By: William Barber |

Comments: I am scanning old family slides that date back to the late 1930s. Some of the slides have damaged or very thin mount material. The Pakon slide mounts are an excellent solution for providing new mounts and with the include mount tool, the application is quite easy. The mounts can be used with any scanner or projector and are a good permanent replacement for any damaged mount. |

Pakon 35mm slide mounts |
By: Ross Hunter |
Location: Orange, VA United States |
Comments: I was a bit nervous about sliding my film into the narrow opening of the plastic mounts. The mounting fixture helps, but I wish it separated the mount halves more to avoid the risk of scratching the film. I only had 20 to remount and I didn't scratch any. If you have a lot to do, another type of mount would probably be better. |

Pakon 35mm 100 Slide Mount Kit |
By: Jeff Lemke |
Location: Bloomingdale, IL United States |
Comments: Very fast shipping for a product at a good price too. I have a large collection of old 35mm negatives and needed slide mounts for them in order to get the best digital scans possible by keeping the neg very flat and scanning them as if they were slides instead of negs. This really works well. With a little patience these mounts work just fine. I use a small binder clip to hold the closed end of the slide mount to the supplied mounter in this 100 pack kit. This keeps the open end open 100% of the time as I am inserting the negative. Works like a charm. Then I add a very small piece of double sided tape inside the open end of the mount so that all four sides are closed tight to keep the neg flat like a pro mounted slide would be. I'll be buying more of these mounts so I have enough to do the rest of the collection. Thanks very much. Cheers! |
