I bought these to keep negatives with the photos in my binders. Not only were the sleeves made of thin and flimsy plastic, the pockets holding the negatives are open on both ends, causing them to slide and fall out every time the page is turned. I have hundreds of family photos with negatives dating back to the thirties that I want to organize and preserve. Unfortunately, these sleeves are useless for that purpose.

I've been using these negative preservers since 1988 and they are a great archival storage method for negatives and transparencies, as well as a handy holder for making contact sheets without having to remove the film from a safe storage sleeve.
